Location: Curacao - Malta - Anjouan - Nigeria - South Africa
We are an ambitious and fast-growing start-up in the iGaming industry, backed by experienced founders and entering a high-growth phase.As the Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for shaping and executing our growth strategy. You will own deal sourcing, partner negotiations, market research, and strategic go-to-market plans, helping to establish our brand, infrastructure, and revenue streams from the ground up. This role is ideal for a builder mindset - someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment and wants to shape a company from day one.
Responsibilities

Market Expansion & Strategy

  • Define and execute the company’s business development roadmap across key jurisdictions: Curacao, Malta, Anjouan, Brazil, Nigeria, and South Africa.
  • Identify new B2B/B2C commercial opportunities, including licensing partners, payment providers, resellers, and regional operators.
  • Lead the development of market-entry strategies including licensing, local structuring, and go-to-market partnership models.

Partnerships & Deal-Making

  • Source and negotiate commercial partnerships with operators, aggregators, affiliates, PSPs, and white-label providers.
  • Develop and maintain high-level relationships with regulators, suppliers, and strategic B2B/B2C partners
  • Build scalable partnership frameworks to support ongoing product and revenue expansion.
Growth & Revenue Enablement
  • Own key commercial KPIs related to partner performance, market launch success, and revenue contribution.
  • Create business cases and ROI models for new deals or expansion opportunities.
  • Actively contribute to pricing, product packaging, and go-to-market positioning.
  • Cross-Functional Execution
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Legal, and Operations to ensure all aspects of launches are aligned.
  • Drive internal readiness for new market activations including partner onboarding and regulatory compliance.
  • Act as a market voice within the leadership team - bringing local insights to strategic planning
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7–10 years of experience in Business Development, strategic partnerships, or commercial leadership within the iGaming or online entertainment space.
  • Demonstrated success in launching iGaming operations or partnerships in one or more of the following markets: Brazil, South Africa, Nigeria, Curacao, Malta, or Anjouan.
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills and deep understanding of the B2B/B2C landscape in gaming.
  • Fluent in English (Portuguese, French, or other regional languages a plus).
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex commercial agreements and manage stakeholder relationships across diverse cultures.
  • Comfortable working in a start-up or ambiguous environment, with a bias for speed and ownership.

  2. The company is in the process of obtaining a license & establishing a company in Curacao - Malta - Anjouan - Nigeria - South Africa, so we will recruit 5 Heads of BD for each country
  3. Need experienced people & are working in the iGaming sector in these countries, prefer candidates with experience in start-ups, building from scratch, prefer experience with B2C products
  4. Currently not open for remote work, when there is an office, it will be completely onsite, or hybrid (maybe, no information & not confirmed), if the candidate is only open for remote work, then reject
  5. Need candidates with experience in building teams from 0, managing & leading teams
  6. Check motivation carefully, do not prefer candidates who change jobs frequently (<= 1 year at each company in the last 3 - 4 companies), if the profile is good, it can be considered but need to ask carefully why they quit their jobs in the last 3 - 4 companies
